Manjit Bhoma is furious at those looting relief materials in Punjab, saying they were ‘taking over before help could reach the flood victims,’ and demands action against the accused.

On the one hand, a devastating flood is mostly affecting Punjab’s Majha region. In addition to suffering from hunger and illness, thousands of people have lost their homes as a result of the floods. However, certain antisocial elements are profiting from this tragedy while sitting comfortably.

Manjit Singh Bhoma, the chairman of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee’s Dharma Prachar Committee, claimed to have shared a video that was taken with a camera and his own eyes. He disclosed that gangs of criminals are openly stealing relief supplies that donors had brought on the Ajnala-Ramdas road during the day.

According to him, the administration must take quick action to protect the dignity of Majha residents and flood victims, as well as to punish such looters severely. Otherwise, history would recall that the government simply watched as some people looted in the name of relief while another section of Punjab was drowning.
