Deputy Commissioner Dr Sona Thind Applauds IDBI Bank’s Pro-People Initiative
Bank Officials Hand Checks to Deputy Commissioner to Provide Facilities in Government Hospitals and Schools
Fatehgarh Sahib, 19th September:
Mr. Swaran Singh, Deputy Zonal Head (Chandigarh Zone) of IDBI Bank, was congratulated by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sona Thind for giving symbolic checks for 4.36 lakh rupees to buy supplies for the civil hospital and two government schools.
IDBI’s pro-people program is praiseworthy, according to the Deputy Commissioner. A 30-liter washing machine, ten benches that can accommodate three people apiece, and twenty-five medicine racks will be purchased at the Civil Hospital with the help of this financial assistance, which was given by the bank through its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) fund. In addition, government elementary schools in Manupur and Dhupsari will have fans, cabinets, LEDs, and inverters.
Swaran Singh, the bank’s deputy zonal head, stated on this occasion that the bank has previously worked with the government on social service projects and will keep up its active support of the education and health sectors going forward. According to him, 2.86 lakh rupees and 1.50 lakh rupees have been made available for the procurement of equipment for the civil hospital and the two government schools, respectively.
SDM Arvind Kumar Gupta, Chandigarh Manager Vijay Chhabra, AGM and Sarhind Branch Manager Vipin Kumar Jain, Manager Gurwinder Kaur, and representatives from the Education and Health Departments were also in attendance.
