The maternal grandpa, Dana Singh, sobbed as he said that his own son-in-law had kidnapped his grandson and that a ransom was now being sought to free him. The boy was ‘Amritdhari’ (one who has taken the vows of the Sikh faith and does not cut their hair) when he was taken from the house, he added, but now his hair has been cut off, which has greatly infuriated the family.

However, the police claim that they have received the woman Jyoti’s complaint and are taking appropriate action. According to investigating officer Baljit Singh, the police are currently looking for the offender and have turned off the phone number he used to call from. The mother is crying, in a very bad mood, and begging for her child’s safe return. The woman claims that despite her complaint to the police four months ago, nothing significant has been done about it.
