Singer Malkit Singh Bows His Head at Golden Temple: Offered Prayers for Flood Victims, Says, “I’m with My People in This Difficult Time”
Famous Bhangra king Malkit Singh ‘Golden Star’ wept after witnessing the destruction inflicted by floods in Punjab. In a video message, he expressed his sorrow and fervently urged all Punjabis residing in India and outside to step up and support their compatriots with open arms. By contributing ₹25 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund, he initiated this admirable cause personally.
The state of Punjab is not hidden from anyone,” he declared during the Ardaas (a Sikh prayer) for the welfare of the entire state. The devastation inflicted by the floods is enormous. I’m pleading with all Punjabis throughout the world to provide a hand since our Punjab is in dire need of it right now. He also said that every cent of the aid will go to the people who need it and commended Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for his efforts. According to him, the chief minister is adamant about using every cent for the benefit of the populace in an open and honest manner.

Raising money for flood victims through a charity show, and they always stand with Punjab.
Punjabi brothers and sisters overseas have always actively assisted during Punjab’s crises and would do so going forward, according to Malkit Singh. Speaking about the youth, Malkit Singh stated that it is true that Punjab’s youth are the first to volunteer and stand up during trying times.
Malkit Singh expressed confidence that Punjab will emerge from this disaster as well because Punjabis give the message of Chardi Kala (hope and positivity) in every situation. He stated that he had travelled from the United Kingdom and will first pay his respects at the Golden Temple before meeting with flood victims to learn more about their plight. His team are now working in areas devastated by flooding.
