“Administration is strict on dealing with traffic jams in Amritsar: ADCP warns shopkeepers; says FIR will be filed for illegal encroachment.”

Illegal road encroachment is the primary cause of Amritsar’s traffic problem, which has grown to be a significant issue. The Municipal Corporation and Amritsar Traffic Police have started a cooperative campaign to eradicate retailers’ unlawful encroachments in the Majitha Road area in order to address this issue. This effort is a significant step in improving the city’s traffic system and guaranteeing public safety. Shopkeepers have been cautioned by officials that they will face severe consequences if they continue to intrude.

“Traffic police launch campaign regarding illegal encroachments”

Campaigns are periodically carried out around Amritsar to eradicate businesses’ unlawful encroachments, according to ADCP Traffic Amandeep Kaur. She added that the media has repeatedly raised public awareness of these programmes. She explained that initiatives are being launched everywhere, especially in Darbar Sahib and Shaheedan Sahib, to eradicate unlawful encroachments in order to control traffic in the city.

“ADCP warns shopkeepers”

Shopkeepers were forewarned by Amandeep Kaur that BNSS 163 and 295 cases would be filed against them if they did not cooperate. This makes it quite evident that the administration will not put up with intrusions and that lawbreakers will face harsh consequences. In order to alleviate traffic congestion in the city, Amritsar’s citizens have also been urged to work together to streamline the traffic system. They have asked people to be patient, observe traffic laws, and refrain from encroaching on other people’s property.
