A case has been filed against the son for killing his father.

September 18, Fatehgarh Sahib:

According to reports, a young guy in the Patto village killed his father by stabbing him with a pair of scissors. As per the information obtained, Ranjit Kaur, the spouse of Paramjit Singh from the Patto village, claimed to have two sons in her police complaint. Varinder Preet Singh, 24, resided with them and looked after their animals, while the older son lives overseas.

On Varinder Preet Singh’s birthday, the incident took place. To celebrate, he requested five thousand rupees from his father, Paramjit Singh. Unable to provide that sum, Paramjit Singh offered him a thousand rupees instead. Varinder Preet Singh became so angry that he and his father got into a physical fight.

Kamaljit Singh, a neighbour and cousin of Paramjit Singh, arrived at the scene after hearing the disturbance. Varinder Preet Singh also assaulted him when he attempted to step in and break them apart. After grabbing a pair of scissors from the house out of wrath, Varinder Preet Singh stabbed his father, Paramjit Singh, in the stomach and chest before running away.

Critically hurt and bleeding, Paramjit Singh collapsed to the ground. When he arrived at the Civil Hospital in Fatehgarh Sahib for treatment, his wife and neighbors hurried him there, but the doctors pronounced him dead. A case has been filed at the Badali Ala Singh police station under section 103(1) of the BNS based on the testimony of the deceased’s wife, Ranjit Kaur. Police have started looking for Varinder Preet Singh, the deceased’s son from the Patto village, who has been named in the case.
