73rd Sports Fair Organized in Memory of Baba Rodu Shah Ji

With the help of the Baba Rodu Shah Sports Club, the village of Nandpur Kaloor, and all of the locals, the 73rd sports fair in honor of Baba Rodu Shah Ji was held. MLA Fatehgarh Sahib Advocate Lakhbir Singh Rai was a special guest at the ending ceremony, while MLA Bassi Pathana Rupinder Singh Happy was the chief guest. They both gave the victorious players recognition. MLA Rupinder Singh Happy congratulated the organizers and spoke to the players and locals on this special occasion.

He claimed that the fact that this sports expo is held annually on such a grand scale to promote Punjab’s mother game, kabaddi, as well as other sports, is a source of pride for the region. ‘During the occasion, renowned Kabaddi teams display their skills,’ he said. He went on to say that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working to foster a culture of sports in the state and that the “Khedan Watan Punjab Dian” (Punjab’s Homeland Games) offers players at the block, district, and state levels a top-notch stage.
According to MLA Rupinder Singh Happy, the government is now constructing sports fields in rural areas so that our young people can become involved in sports and our athletes can represent the nation with honors in future national and international sporting events.

MLA Advocate Lakhbir Singh Rai urged the athletes on this particular occasion, stating that in order to support the athletes going forward, the general public should also eagerly attend such sporting events. According to him, players can achieve success via perseverance, hard effort, and practice.
Sports fans of all ages, especially kids and young people, have been profoundly impacted by the enthusiastic participation of the tournament’s seasoned players, who made a splash in the mother game of Kabaddi, he continued. The MLAs conducted the ceremony to honor the victors after being introduced to the players.
