Attack on Brahmin Sabha leader in Kapurthala: Beaten with an iron rod after asking a high-speed car driver to slow down.
Lali Bhaskar, a Brahmin Sabha and Anti-Terrorist Front leader, was attacked by some individuals on his way home from Sri Satyanarayan Market in Kapurthala on Tuesday night at around ten o’clock. He was admitted to the civil hospital after suffering severe injuries in the incident. Doctors say that his condition is no longer in danger.
Bhaskar ordered the driver of a fast-moving vehicle to slow down, which led to the incident. Then he got into a fight with the young people in the car. The young people then made phone calls to two more pals who ride bikes. Together, they struck him with an iron rod.

DSP said, ‘Two attackers were caught.’
Bhaskar said that he doesn’t recognise the attackers. He also said that he had received death threats before, which he had also complained about to the DGP of Punjab.

DSP Deepakaran Singh said that the City Police have caught two attackers. According to the SHO, both bike-riding suspects are being interrogated. Bhaskar’s statement is being recorded to proceed with further action.
