Kapurthala: Gangster Jassa Arrested; Sought by Police in 2 States; American-made Glock Pistol, ‘Desi Katta’ and 24 Cartridges Recovered.
An active criminal with illicit firearms has been apprehended by Kapurthala police. Following a tip, the City Police Station squad detained Kamalpreet Singh, also known as Jassa, at the Kanjali Road Y-Point.
Numerous firearms were found in the accused’s backpack during the operation, which was directed by SHO Amandeep Nahar. He was found in possession of a.312 bore ‘desi katta’, six cartridges, an American-made Glock handgun, eighteen ammunition, and two magazines.
In multiple cases, the accused was wanted.
Kamalpreet was wanted in three crimes, according to SHO Nahar. Additionally, he has a number of criminal cases filed against him at several Delhi and Punjabi police stations. Together with his colleagues, the accused had established his own gang and was committing crimes throughout the city.
The judge granted a two-day police remand.
The thug was brought before the police after they filed a complaint against him. The offender was placed under police remand for two days by the court. According to officials, the interrogation in remand may yield a number of significant revelations.
