Punjab Monsoon : Possibility of Light Rain in Some Areas; Water Level Recedes in Flood-Affected Areas; Damage Assessment to Begin.
Jalandhar: In the Ferozepur village of Kalubala, people are seen boarding a boat to get relief supplies.
In several regions of Punjab, there is a chance of light rain today, Friday. The likelihood of typical rain is increasing for September 13. The weather has changed in the interim, and rescue efforts have escalated following the floods. Dams that are weak and broken are being repaired quickly.
However, life in Punjab is also beginning to return to normal as a result of less rain in the hills. The BSF is evaluating the harm done to the outposts and boundary fencing. Boats and other security-related measures are also being taken.

Over the past week, Punjab’s flood situation has somewhat improved, and all rivers’ water levels have dropped. However, the Punjab teams would stay on high alert if it rains a lot today due to a rain alert in several areas of Jammu and Himachal.
In Jalandhar, the BSF has a high-level meeting. According to reports, BSF officers discussed the flood situation at a high-level conference conducted at the Jalandhar headquarters. A security evaluation was discussed at the conference. The difficulties on the border as well as the relief and rescue efforts in the flood-affected districts were thoroughly discussed by BSF Punjab Frontier Headquarters.
