The two fugitive suspects, Varinder Singh and Malkeet Singh, are the target of ongoing police raids.

It started as a road rage argument. After purchasing a brand-new Scorpio vehicle, the victim, Paramjeet Singh, and his family were on their way back from a gurdwara. According to reports, their car collided with a Fortuner registered in Haryana.

Witnesses reported that four men with swords and other sharp weapons, purportedly wearing Nihang clothing, stepped out of the Fortuner. They allegedly broke the windows of the Scorpio, pulled Paramjeet Singh out, and started viciously beating him, focusing on his head and chest.

Along with his nephew Gurtej Singh, Paramjeet’s sons Parvinder Singh and Tarandeep Singh were also attacked when they attempted to step in. The attackers used weapons to ward off onlookers as the conflict spilled onto the street.

In Phase 6, all four casualties were sent to the Civil Hospital, but Paramjeet Singh passed away from his wounds. Despite several wounds, his sons and nephew are now safe.

The incident was first reported as a road rage incident, but subsequent inquiry showed that the deceased and Harnoor’s father had gotten into a furious argument at a gurdwara earlier that day, according to police and family statements. Just 50 meters from the family’s residence, the suspects allegedly attacked them after pursuing their vehicle.

After being taken to court, the two apprehended suspects were placed on police remand for a period of two days. According to police officials, rigorous action will be taken, and raids are being conducted to capture the other perpetrators.
