Raghav Chadha’s announcement on floods in Punjab: Will give 3.25 crore rupees from the MP fund and 2.75 crore for strengthening embankments.

Chadha indicated in a statement that there would be two main uses for the money:
The Gurdaspur district’s flood protection embankments will be strengthened and repaired using ₹2.75 crore in order to avert future disasters.
The Amritsar district will receive ₹50 lakh for relief and rehabilitation initiatives.
In order to distribute relief supplies and evaluate the situation on the ground, Chadha has been travelling to the state’s flood-affected regions, such as Gurdaspur and Dinanagar.
“This is Punjab’s money for Punjab’s people,” he said, expressing his support for the Punjabi people.
According to a state government bulletin, all 23 districts in Punjab have been impacted by one of the worst floods in the state’s recent history. At least 30 individuals have lost their lives as a result of the floods, which have affected over 3.5 lakh people and severely damaged infrastructure, homes, and crops.
In addition, Chadha thanked the Indian Army, BSF, Punjab Police, NDRF, and other groups for their rescue and relief efforts and urged the federal government to provide the flood-affected state with the greatest amount of assistance possible.
