A Year’s Salary for Hope.
To help flood victims in the state, Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh gave ₹12 lakh, his one-year salary, to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The Punjab government is making this donation as part of a larger initiative to aid flood victims. A month’s pay would be donated for the same cause, as earlier announced by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, his cabinet colleagues, and all Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs.
Ministers and other government representatives have visited impacted areas to supervise aid distribution and evaluate damage as part of the government’s active participation in relief and rescue efforts. Severe floods have been plaguing the state, seriously harming animals, homes, and crops alike.
