Water that is five to seven feet deep.

Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Fazilka, and Firozpur are the seven districts in Punjab that experience the highest flooding. Five to seven feet of water fills people’s homes. Animal feed is becoming scarce. Although the extent of the floods’ devastation has not yet been determined, people are spending time on their homes’ roofs in search of relief. According to experts, the accurate evaluation won’t be feasible until the water has subsided. The government is currently focused on saving lives.

3. Haryana also stepped up to assist.
Punjab is receiving assistance from Haryana, a nearby state. In a letter to the chief minister of Punjab, Haryana’s chief minister, Nayab Saini, promised to assist if necessary. Nevertheless, it was claimed that during the 2023 floods, Haryana and Rajasthan would travel to Punjab for summer water but abandon the province to perish in the monsoon floods by itself.
