Two Female Students Stuck in a Lift at PU in Chandigarh; They Screamed in the Dark and Were Distressed from Thirst; Help Arrived After Half an Hour.

According to the story, two female students were trapped inside a university lift at Punjab University (PU) in Chandigarh for around thirty minutes after it abruptly stopped. Inside, it was dark, and they both began to yell in fear. Staff and security guards eventually assisted in opening the lift, and both were safely removed. The pupils sighed with relief as they left.

A comment from Alka, a student who resides in Hostel Number 3 (Sarojini Hall), is also included in the study. She claimed that the power abruptly went out when she arrived at the reception for some work at around ten o’clock in the evening. One of the female peons sat there and went to get the watchman. Then Alka heard a girl screaming loudly, and when she listened, she realised that the sound was coming from the lift.

After 30 minutes of effort, a lift opened.
A little opening in the lift revealed two girls stuck within, wailing for assistance nonstop. Alka claimed that the girls were so thirsty that they were begging to go. She made multiple attempts to fit a water bottle inside, but the area was too small for the bottle.

The lift was opened after half an hour of work.

Alka alerted the personnel at hostel number four right away, and they started attempting to open the elevator. But even with a lot of effort, the lift refused to open. After then, two campus police officers were summoned. After about 30 minutes, they were all able to unlock the lift after working tirelessly together.

“We thought we would be trapped inside forever,” the students claimed after emerging. We were suffocating in the dark interior. We were quite frightened and thirsty.

Alka claimed that she called PU’s senior authorities right away after hearing the girls’ cries. But nobody answered the phone, and nobody arrived later.

“After evening, boys are not allowed to enter here,” she stated. Help may have been found if there had been a boy around. Not even a siren system is present to warn everyone by sounding an alarm in an emergency.
