Shiv Sena Hindustan President Praises Haryana CM’s Decision on 1984 Riots Victims but Questions Centre on Compensation for 35,000 Hindu Victims of Terrorism in Punjab.
Shri Pawan Gupta, a Patiala native and national president of Shiv Sena Hindustan, praised Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini’s decision to offer government jobs to the relatives of the 1984 riot victims during a press conference at the Chandigarh Press Club. According to Shiv Sena Hindustan, the 1984 riots were a disgrace to humanity.
Shiv Sena Hindustan, on the other hand, wants to know when the BJP’s supposedly pro-Hindu central government will pay ₹781 crore in compensation to the relatives of the 35,000 Hindus and members of other communities who were killed in Punjab during the Khalistani terrorist period.
In his press conference, he recalled that during the administration of Captain Amarinder Singh, Shiv Sena Hindustan established a long-standing “Dharma Yudh Morcha” in Patiala in 2003 to ensure that the 35,000 Hindu terrorism victims and other communities in Punjab received aid and compensation equivalent to that of the 1984 riot victim.
This fight led to the Punjab government at the time passing a resolution in a cabinet meeting on May 31, 2006, calling for a package of ₹781 crore from the central government to help and compensate the victims of terrorism in Punjab on a level comparable to that of the 1984 riots. Shiv Sena Hindustan also gheraoed the central government at the time when the Congress held sway and sent a memorandum to the Punjab administration requesting the delivery of this package. Nevertheless, the package was not released by the Congress government at that time.

In his press conference, Shiv Sena Hindustan National President Shri Pawan Gupta also asked the Haryana Chief Minister about the compensation provided to the Hindus deceased in the recent Nuh riots. Were they hired by the government? “Will the government of Haryana also furnish these details?” he enquired. He claimed to have personally visited the family of a Hindu youth who had been slain in the Nuh violence in Panipat and to have seen that the BJP government at the time was extremely reluctant to offer government employment to the relatives of the Hindus who had died. He questioned the number of government jobs awarded to relatives of those murdered in the recent riots in Haryana.
Additionally, he enquired about the timing of a scheme to relocate Kashmiri Pandits who were driven from the Kashmir Valley by jihadi terrorists supported by Pakistan to the central government of the BJP. What plan has been put in place to get their properties back in Kashmir? After they were compelled to leave Kashmir and the BJP administration took control at the federal level, what compensation plan was created? Did they get paid?
These points, particularly why the BJP’s national government is refusing to pay the ₹781 crore in compensation for the 35,000 Hindu terrorist victims in Punjab, should be addressed by the central government.
Additionally, he noted that although thousands of crores of rupees have been spent in the Kashmir Valley to bring “straying youth”, or terrorists supported by Pakistan, back into the mainstream, total peace has not yet been achieved there.
Shiv Sena Hindustan’s national president, Shri Pawan Gupta, made it plain to the BJP’s federal government that ignoring the Hindu community will result in reprisal from the Hindu population, which may be fierce.
He ended by saying that the Kashmiri Pandits’ wounds can only be healed by administering the balm of justice and establishing their financial stability; creating or exhibiting a movie like “The Kashmir Files” is insufficient. This should receive particular attention from the central government.
