Shiromani Akali Dal thanks Guru at Sri Akal Takht Sahib for the reversal of the land pooling scheme, calling it “Guru’s Grace.”

Akali Dal denounces the Punjabi government’s negligence and failure to address flood damage.

“Bhagwant Mann made no preparations and released no funds; people are building embankments with their own hands,” asserts the Akali leadership.

“They take water when they need it but don’t come when we are drowning” is one of the questions posed about the central government.

“If promises aren’t kept, we will make the government pay” is the warning issued by Akali Dal, who is demanding compensation.

The Shiromani Akali Dal’s top brass met at Sri Akal Takht Sahib today to express their appreciation for the land pooling plan’s reversal. The battle was referred to as a “victory achieved through the grace of the Guru” by the leaders, who also offered prayers before the Guru.

They said that the Aam Aadmi Party’s land pooling plan was an attempt to take over Punjabi farmers’ land, but it was thwarted with the help of the Akali Dal leadership and the Sangat.

The leaders declared, “This is not our victory but the Guru’s victory.” The party also voiced grave concerns about the floods’ severe devastation. They said that because of the ineptitude of the Bhagwant Mann regime, the floods inflicted enormous destruction.

Preparations, river cleaning, and embankment repairs used to be done annually, but this government did nothing. “No reports, no meetings, no money,” the Akali Dal asserted.

The Akali Dal issued a warning, indicating that if immediate compensation is not granted to the farmers, animals, and individuals who have incurred losses, they will organize a huge demonstration.

“They will have to concede now as well if they were to concede on the land pooling issue. We shall act vigorously to protect the people’s rights.”
