BREAKING NEWS: Punjab’s Madhopur Dam Gate Collapses
The Madhopur Headworks, a barrage on the Ravi River in Pathankot, Punjab, has flooded as a result of heavy rainfall.
Rising water levels in the Ravi River are the cause of this, and the Ranjit Sagar Dam’s water flow has made matters worse.

Approximately fifty workers were left stuck at the Madhopur Headworks after a gate fell. To remove them, the Indian Army has started rescue efforts.
More than 150,000 people have been evacuated from Pakistan’s Punjab province due to flood worries sparked by the spilling of water from Indian dams, such as the Thein and Madhopur Dams.
