Due to rain, a mother and son are trapped in rubble and are taken to the hospital after their neighbours save their lives.
The roofs of a flour mill and a saw machine fell on Tuesday in Kapurthala as a result of three days of nonstop rain. Harmail Singh, the mill owner, and Parkash, his ageing mother, were buried beneath the debris in this tragedy. The roof abruptly collapsed when the mother and boy were at the mill in the afternoon.
People from the neighbourhood hurried to the scene after hearing their cries. The rescue effort was launched right away by the villagers. After working diligently for approximately an hour, they were both retrieved from beneath the debris. The village of Kabarpur is where the incident took place. The injured mother and youngster are receiving treatment at the Civil Hospital after being admitted right away.
To find out how they were doing, the SDM went to the hospital. SDM Sultanpur Lodhi also went to the hospital to ask the physicians how they were feeling.
Investigation revealed that hay was spread out on the mud top of the mill. The roof fell because of the heavy muck caused by the constant rain. The hospital is treating both victims, who come from a low-income family.
