BREAKING: SIR hearing – Voters can apply online.

Breaking: SIR hearing: Online applications are being accepted for voters to add their names. According to the Supreme Court, any document, including Aadhaar, can be used to have a voter’s name taken off the list.

The Supreme Court heard arguments on Friday about the ongoing special intense revision, or SIR (voter list verification), in Bihar. The Supreme Court said during the hearing that online applications can be made to add names to the voter list. Physically submitting the form is not required.

The Supreme Court further stated that the Aadhaar card is one of the eleven papers listed in Form 6. These records consist of a water bill, a driver’s licence, and a passbook. September 8 is the day of the case’s next hearing.

Political parties are questioned by the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court questioned the Election Commission on a number of issues throughout the hearing. According to Justice Suryakant, the political parties’ lack of action is unexpected.

Only three of the state’s twelve political parties have made court appearances. How are you assisting the electorate?

The court was reportedly taken aback that political parties had only raised two objections, despite having almost 1.6 lakh booth level agents (BLAs).

BLAs are being appointed by the parties. “Parties are appointing BLAs (booth level agents)…” Why is the gap between political workers and the general people so great? Parties ought to step up and assist the electorate.
