Leaders of the Punjab Congress rebelled during a conference, and Jeera claims that Ravana knew all four Vedas and that there is little difference between him and Rana Gurjeet.
In the Punjab Congress, things are not going well. On the one hand, the Congress’s top brass battled with local leaders in Veerwar, Samana, and Patiala district. On the stage as well was Uttam Rav Dalvi, the party’s co-in-charge. There, Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjeet Singh was sharply attacked by Firozpur Congress President and former Jeera MLA Kulbir Singh Jeera, who likened him to Ravana.
According to Jeera, there aren’t many differences between Rana and Ravana. On the other hand, Rana has not yet responded to this issue. However, it has been discussed that a conference about Punjab will take place in Delhi the following week. which will include observers.
An 8-second video clip sparked the controversy.
An 8-second footage that was provided to a YouTube channel during an interview is actually the true cause of this controversy. “I know one thing,” Rana stated in the video, “those who have messed with me, they are not there.”
“Whether it is in politics or otherwise?” was the question the anchor posed.
On social media, this video became viral. “Ravana also had the knowledge of all four Vedas, and there was no greater intellectual than him,” Jeera stated after this. However, this conceit ultimately led to his demise. I don’t think Ravana and Rana Ji are all that different.
“Jeera’s election campaign had been managed by Rana.”
In the past, Rana and Kulbir Singh Jeera were thought to be quite close. Rana asserted that he played a significant part in securing Jeera’s ticket when he ran against Amritpal Singh of Khadoor Sahib in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Furthermore, Rana had been in charge of Jeera’s election campaign. Jeera was unable to win the election, though. However, it is still unclear what the true cause of the current debate is.
Father-son triumphed despite the AAP storm.
Within the Congress, Rana Gurjeet Singh is regarded as having significant influence. Even though the Aam Aadmi Party was riding high and had won 92 seats in the 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections, Rana was still able to win from Kapurthala by 8,000 votes. Manju Rana, the AAP candidate, received 36,792 votes, while he received 44,96. Rana has served as an MP and a minister.
His son, Rana Inder Pratap Singh of Sultanpur Lodhi, was not granted a ticket by the Congress. Following this, he ran and won as an independent. At the same time, Navtej Singh Cheema, a Congress leader, held the fourth seat.
