Former minister Ashu’s aide arrested in Ludhiana: Accused of breaking the seal of the municipal corporation office and using a residential apartment for commercial purposes.
Police have detained Sunil Madiya, a former Congress minister and Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s aide, after receiving a complaint from the Municipal Corporation. He is charged with breaking the seal on his office in the Dhillagiri Apartments on Mal Road. This is thought to be the city’s first instance of seal-breaking. The Municipal Corporation claims that because Sunil Madiya’s workplace was a home flat being used for business, it had previously been shut. After receiving a written report from the Corporation regarding the broken seal, the police detained him and started questioning him.
Police have dozens of seal-breaking complaints:
Numerous seal-breaking complaints have reportedly been filed with the municipal corporation, but as of right now, nothing has been done about them. This action is now regarded as a political vendetta because of this. The Zone-D Building Branch of the Municipal Corporation took this action against the aforementioned office on April 29.
The residential flat was subject to this action since it was converted into a commercial office. The corporation filed a formal complaint with the police after the seal was broken a few days prior.
