A plea from the family: “Our daughter’s life is in danger.
“Questions are raised concerning the SHO by Valmiki organisations.

Police side: The High Court heard the girl’s age argument and registered the marriage. The family of the victim warns that the demonstration will go on until the accused are taken into custody and the daughter is given back.
Amritsar: Today, the victim’s family and social organisations protested at Chabba Chowk on Tarn Taran Road. The family claims that a 35-year-old guy kidnapped their 16-year-old daughter. The government has received evidence from the family that the girl is with the young man’s family. According to the victim’s family, their daughter called them and begged for her life. Police haven’t made any arrests in spite of this. The family thinks that financial or political pressure is to blame for the delay. The protesting Valmiki organisations accused the SHO of merely filing a complaint without making any arrests. The groups called for the police officer who used derogatory language with the family to be suspended immediately.
However, according to the authorities, the girl’s age argument went all the way to the High Court, where the marriage was officially recorded. The accused have not been located after numerous raids, according to police officials. The officials promised to do all in their power to get the girl back in seven to ten days. The demonstration will go on until the accused are taken into custody and the daughter is restored, the family and Valmiki organisations have stated.
