In just 12 hours Border Security Force (BSF) jawans made a big recovery near the Punjab border. They seized 6 drones, 3 pistols and over 1 kg of heroin during night operations in the Amritsar and Tarn Taran areas.
According to BSF officials, on Wednesday night jawans used advanced technology to capture 5 DJI Mavic, 3 Classic drones near a village called Mode. These drones were carrying three pistols 3 magazines and four packets of heroin weighing around 1.070 kg.
In another operation, BSF jawans along with Punjab Police searched the area near Dal village in Tarn Taran at night. During the search they found more drone parts and equipment.
BSF is on high alert in the border region as smugglers continue to use drones to send drugs and weapons across from Pakistan.
