The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) received another threatening email on Saturday about a plan to blow up the Golden Temple.
This is the eighth threat since July 14.
Security around the holy Sikh shrine has been increased. Police have been deployed outside the temple, and officers in plain clothes are patrolling the area to prevent any incident.
An SGPC official confirmed that they got the latest threat on Friday night.
The acting Jathedar of Akal Takht, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, questioned why central and state agencies have still not found the people behind these threats.
Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that the investigation is still going on. A suspect named Shubham Dubey is being questioned. He added that technical analysis takes time, but the people responsible will be found soon.
