SAD Leader Mohit Gupta Demands CM Mann’s Resignation Over Punjab’s Law and Order Collapse

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and Senior Vice President Mohit Gupta has strongly criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government, saying law and order in the state has completely collapsed. He called for the immediate resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Citing a series of shocking incidents — including a ₹20 lakh robbery in Bathinda, the recovery of 40 kg of heroin, the murder of a cloth merchant in Abohar, and a controversial police encounter involving two young men — Gupta said Punjab is in a state of chaos under the AAP rule.

“Killings, robberies, gang threats, and extortion have become everyday news in Punjab. The government is missing in action. If the Chief Minister has even a little sense of responsibility, he should resign,” Gupta said.

He also accused the Mann government of failing in all major areas — including public safety, job creation, women’s welfare, and the fight against drug trafficking.

“The people of Punjab are living in fear and disappointment. AAP came with big promises, but the reality is very different,” Gupta added.
