Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised teachers and school heads across Punjab for helping the state secure the top rank in the National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2024 — a huge leap from 29th place in 2017.

Speaking at a special event, CM Mann said this remarkable improvement was possible only because of the dedication of teachers and the education-friendly policies of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

He shared that the government has not only improved infrastructure and provided modern equipment to schools, but has also ensured that teachers focus only on teaching. “We’ve decided that teachers should not be burdened with non-teaching tasks,” he said.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that the government is working to boost skill development among students to better prepare them for the future.

Former Delhi CM and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who was the chief guest at the event, congratulated the Mann government for its focus on improving school infrastructure and creating a better learning environment.

Both leaders said this achievement is just the beginning, and they aim to make Punjab a model state in education across the country.
