Gun Attack on Actress Tania’s Father: Moga Police Still Searching for Clues

Moga police remain in the dark following the brazen gun attack on Dr. Aniljeet Kamboj, father of popular Punjabi actress Tania, who was critically injured after being shot inside his clinic in Kot Ise Khan town on Friday afternoon.

According to eyewitnesses, two unidentified assailants entered Harbans Nursing Home, located just 100 metres from the local police station, pretending to be patients. Once inside, they fired at Dr. Kamboj, hitting him twice in the back, before fleeing the scene.

Dr. Kamboj was immediately taken to a private hospital in Moga, where he remains on ventilator support in critical condition.

Initial investigations revealed that Dr. Kamboj had received extortion threats around two years ago and was granted police protection, which was later withdrawn after the threats stopped.

Moga SSP Ajay Gandhi, who visited the crime scene shortly after the incident, said the attack occurred around 1 PM at the town’s main intersection. “Multiple teams have been formed to investigate the matter, and we are hopeful of making arrests soon,” he said.

As news of the attack spread, actress Tania issued an emotional statement on Instagram, requesting privacy and sensitivity from the media and public. The statement read:

“On behalf of Tania and her family, we want to share that this is an extremely critical and emotional time for her and her family. We kindly request the media to respect their privacy and give them the space they need to process this. We urge everyone to be sensitive and refrain from speculation or creating stories around the situation. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

So far, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the attack remains unknown, leaving the community shocked and demanding answers.
