Even after 20 years, Tere Naam remains one of Salman Khan’s most memorable films — and not just for its emotional story but also for his iconic hairstyle. On the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show (Season 3), Salman shared a surprising fact: his look in Tere Naam was inspired by none other than former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
Salman explained, “My hairstyle in Tere Naam was inspired by Abdul Kalam saab.” He added that he wanted to portray a small-town hero, imagining such characters with longer hair — an old-school style seen in actors like Rahul Roy.
The 2003 film, directed by the late Satish Kaushik, featured Salman as Radhe and Bhumika Chawla in her Hindi debut. Though the film got mixed reviews, Salman’s intense performance and the music left a lasting impact.
Salman also opened up about a recent incident where a female fan managed to sneak into his home at Galaxy Apartments by claiming Salman had called her. Thankfully, the security and staff quickly realized the confusion and escorted her out.
