Amritsar Influencer Deepika Luthra Receives Death Threat Allegedly from Banned Outfit Babbar Khalsa

Amritsar-based social media influencer Deepika Luthra has received a chilling death threat via email, allegedly from the banned terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The email, which is now under investigation by police, also mentioned another influencer, Preet Jatti.

The threatening message warned Luthra against stepping out of her home, claiming that she was under constant watch and would be “killed whenever the opportunity arises.” The sender accused her of continuing to post “objectionable content” online. Alarmingly, the email referenced the daylight murder of Hindu leader Sudhir Suri, suggesting a similar fate could await her—even with police protection.

The incident follows earlier threats made to Luthra by Amritpal Singh Mehron, the main accused in the murder of fellow influencer Kanchan Kumari. Mehron had publicly warned Luthra about her alleged “vulgar content.” The Amritsar Police cyber cell has already registered a case against Mehron in connection with those remarks.

Given the seriousness of the latest threat, Amritsar police have deployed security personnel to protect Luthra and her family, while the content and origin of the threatening email are being closely examined.

Authorities have assured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure Luthra’s safety as the investigation unfolds.
