A decades-old dream of the people of Ferozepur has finally come true with the Ministry of Railways announcing direct train services from Ferozepur Cantonment to the holy cities of Nanded Sahib and Haridwar.

This long-awaited development has brought joy to the local residents, especially devotees and students. While local BJP leader Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi could not be physically present at the announcement, he shared that he had been continuously working behind the scenes to make these train services a reality.

As per the newly released schedule:

  • The Ferozepur to Nanded Sahib train will run every Friday, departing at 1:25 pm and reaching Nanded on Sunday at 3:00 am. It will cover a distance of 2,020 kilometers.

  • The Ferozepur to Haridwar train will start running from June 18 and operate twice a week, covering 450 kilometers.

Residents had long requested such train services, especially during school holidays, so that students studying outside Ferozepur could travel back home more easily. The introduction of these trains is seen as a much-needed relief and a step forward in improving connectivity.

The trains will pass through major stations such as Bathinda, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, and Ajmer, making the journey even more convenient for travellers from the region.

With strong historical and spiritual ties to both Nanded Sahib and Haridwar, the people of Ferozepur now feel more closely connected to these important religious destinations. The new services promise to offer a comfortable and accessible travel option for pilgrims and families alike.
