Legendary Punjabi singer and actor Gurdas Maan is grieving the loss of his younger brother, Gurpanth Maan, who passed away today following a brief illness. He was 68.
Gurpanth, a commission agent and farmer from Gidderbaha, had been under treatment at a private multi-specialty hospital in Mohali for the past two months. Though his health had improved recently and he was even discharged, he sadly succumbed to complications earlier today.
According to Advocate Gurmeet Maan, a cousin of the family, Gurpanth’s passing came as a shock, as his recovery had given hope to loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter, both of whom are settled abroad. Gurpanth was the middle sibling between Gurdas Maan and their sister.
The cremation ceremony will take place tomorrow in Chandigarh.
