Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring strongly criticized both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday, accusing them of indulging in petty politics over Operation Sindoor, and warned them against disrespecting the honour of India’s defence forces.
“It’s clear now that BJP and AAP are two sides of the same coin. Both are using Operation Sindoor for political gain—BJP is trying to take credit, while AAP is questioning its success,” Warring said in a statement.
He took a sharp dig at BJP leaders, saying they were acting as if they personally fought on the battlefield. “Operation Sindoor is not Operation Lotus,” Warring added, referring to the BJP’s alleged attempts to topple governments through poaching MLAs.
He further said, “We know how you operate during Operation Lotus. But for the dignity of our soldiers, don’t hijack their success for your narrow political agendas.”
