Ahead of the 41st anniversary of Operation Bluestar, police teams carried out flag marches across different parts of the city today. Alongside these, a search operation was also conducted at the inter-state bus terminus.
Led by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishaljit Singh and Assistant Commissioner of Police Jaspal Singh, the flag march took place in Zone 1, covering areas under Division E and Division D police stations. Local police and police commandos joined the teams during the patrols.
Vishaljit Singh said the flag march aimed to create a sense of security among residents. He added that all entry and exit points in the city have been sealed with naka checkpoints, and continuous surveillance is in place at various locations 24/7.
Authorities are closely monitoring any suspicious activity to prevent trouble during the Operation Bluestar anniversary on June 6.
