The battle for visibility in Ludhiana’s political landscape is intensifying as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress flood the city’s unipoles with bold slogans and eye-catching visuals, leaving BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) with a much smaller presence.

AAP’s Sanjeev Arora launched a direct attack with the slogan “Na gussa, na hankaar, Sanjeev Arora iss vaar,” targeting Congress’ Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s aggressive image. Ashu responded by emphasizing development and trust with “For development and trust, Ashu is must,” highlighting his record and future plans. Another AAP hoarding reassured voters with “Honge kam, milega satkar—AAP da MLA, AAP di Sarkar,” echoing Arvind Kejriwal’s promise of work and respect under AAP leadership.

Ashu fired back with “Na jhooth, na larey—kam karda bauhat sarey,” focusing on rejecting false promises and underscoring his efficiency. Meanwhile, BJP and SAD are opting for less flashy tactics. Instead of expensive unipoles, they are relying on illegal wall posters and social media campaigns.

SAD’s Parupkar Singh Ghuman promotes prosperity with slogans like “Taraki te khushhali lake aange Akali” and “Na baahari, na hankaari… iss vaar Parupkar di vaari,” positioning himself as the humble, local candidate who promises accessibility with “Har ik tak sokhi phaunch.”

BJP’s Gupta has stayed away from the hoarding battle, citing financial constraints and a focus on grassroots engagement rather than costly advertising. “They can afford to spend lakhs on catchy slogans. I come from a normal family—I don’t believe in spending on big hoardings,” he said.

As the election draws closer, the hoarding war reveals the contrasting campaign strategies of the parties in Ludhiana, with AAP and Congress battling openly for attention, while BJP and SAD try different routes to connect with voters.
