Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring on Sunday called upon all political parties to unite and build a consensus for a special Central package aimed at reviving Punjab’s ailing economy.
Addressing the pressing economic crisis, Warring urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to take up the matter seriously with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also extended his party’s full support and cooperation in pursuing the much-needed financial relief for the state.
Highlighting concerns from the industrial sector, Warring revealed that feedback from business leaders indicated severe challenges in sustaining trade and industry under current conditions. “Punjab’s debt is mounting, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult for businesses to survive,” he said.
Warring appealed to all political stakeholders to set aside differences and avoid blame games. “Saving Punjab’s economy is not just the government’s responsibility—it will affect everyone. Let’s deal with the issue collectively,” he emphasized.
