Two unknown men on a motorcycle fired several gunshots at the house of Punjabi music producer Pushpinder Dhaliwal, also known as Pinky Dhaliwal, around 10:30 pm on Thursday. The incident happened in Sector 71, a quiet residential area in Mohali.
According to police, the attackers fired six to seven bullets at the house and then quickly fled the scene. Dhaliwal was inside the house at the time but was not hurt.
Mohali’s senior superintendent of police (SSP) Harmandeep Singh Hans and other officers reached the spot soon after the incident. They confirmed that the bullets hit the gate and outer walls of the house.
Police have filed a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Mataur police station. Officers are now checking CCTV footage from the area to find the attackers.
Recently, Dhaliwal was in the news after Punjabi singer Sunanda Sharma accused him of serious misconduct. She said his actions caused her financial and mental harm. Dhaliwal was arrested in March but was later released after the court said his arrest was not legal.
