Rajnath Singh Praises Armed Forces After Operation Sindoor, Says India Responded Wisely

After India’s military strike on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gave a strong message. He said India had every right to respond after the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 innocent people.

Singh was the first minister to speak about Operation Sindoor, which was carried out early Wednesday. He said the Indian armed forces acted with precision, caution, and compassion, and made history by destroying terrorist training camps.

Earlier, Singh informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the operation. At a Cabinet meeting later, the PM praised the armed forces for their accurate and timely action, calling it a much-needed national response. The Cabinet supported the move and congratulated the PM for his leadership.

The Cabinet Committee on Security also held its third meeting since the Pahalgam attack. Later, the PM briefed President Droupadi Murmu about the operation. An all-party meeting is planned for Thursday, where leaders are expected to support Operation Sindoor.

Though PM Modi did not speak publicly, Rajnath Singh said India’s action was thoughtful and targeted only terrorist camps. At an event for the Border Roads Organisation, Singh compared the operation to Lord Hanuman’s actions in Lanka—hitting only those who harmed the innocent.

He added that India avoided hitting civilians and only focused on terrorist sites. “I salute our soldiers and officers and thank PM Modi for raising the morale of our forces,” Singh said.
