Over 200 Flights Cancelled, 18 Airports Closed After Missile Strikes on Terror Camps

More than 200 flights have been cancelled and at least 18 airports in India, including Srinagar, have been temporarily closed after the Indian armed forces launched missile attacks on terror targets in Pakistan on Wednesday morning.

Major airlines like Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air, and some international airlines have cancelled flights to and from several airports.

Airports that are currently closed include Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala, and Jamnagar, among others.

IndiGo has cancelled over 165 flights and said that passengers can either reschedule their flights or get a full refund. Air India has also cancelled flights to and from cities like Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, and Rajkot, offering similar options to affected passengers.

SpiceJet and Akasa Air also confirmed cancellations, especially to northern cities like Srinagar, Jammu, and Dharamshala. Regional airline Star Air has cancelled flights to cities including Nanded and Bhuj.

Delhi Airport has seen at least 35 flight cancellations since midnight, including both domestic and international flights. American Airlines and other foreign carriers have also cancelled some services.

Qatar Airways announced it has stopped flying to Pakistan due to the closure of Pakistani airspace.

These actions come after India launched “Operation Sindoor,” a missile strike targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, including areas controlled by groups like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba, following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
