Ajay Devgn’s film Raid 2 has made Rs 51.31 crore at the box office in its first weekend, the makers announced on Sunday. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor and was released in theatres on May 1. It is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
Production house T-Series shared the film’s earnings on their official X (formerly Twitter) account. According to the post, Raid 2 earned Rs 19.71 crore on day one, Rs 13.05 crore on the second day, and Rs 18.55 crore on the third day.
The film is a sequel to the 2018 movie Raid, in which Ajay Devgn played the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. That film was also directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
The makers encouraged audiences to book tickets, calling the movie a box office success.
