The BJP has criticized the Congress party for giving support to Pakistan through its statements. BJP leader Sambit Patra said that Congress acts like the “Pakistan Working Committee” from the outside, even though it is called the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on the inside.
This comment came after Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi questioned the truth of India’s air strike in Balakot in 2019, which happened after the Pulwama terror attack.
Patra said that while the Congress Working Committee recently passed a resolution asking the government to act strongly against Pakistan’s terrorism, some Congress leaders are saying different things.
He added that Channi held a separate press conference right after the CWC meeting and doubted the Balakot air strike and also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Patra said this shows a pattern in Congress, where some leaders support India publicly, but others make statements that seem to help Pakistan.
