Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, have written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They have requested him to call a special session of Parliament to discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
Kharge said that during such a tragic time, the country needs unity and that Parliament should come together to show this. He believes that holding a special session of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will show a strong message against terrorism.
Rahul Gandhi also said that the attack in Pahalgam, which happened on April 22 and killed innocent people, has shocked the entire nation. He added that India must stand united against terrorism and that all leaders should come together in Parliament to show strength and support.
Both leaders want the special session to happen as soon as possible.
