Punjab Towns Observe Bandh to Protest Pahalgam Terror Attack

In protest against the Pahalgam terror attack, markets in Kapurthala remained closed till 12 noon on Thursday. The District Bar Association also did not work for the day to show their anger and support for the victims.

Many social, religious, and political groups joined together and observed a complete bandh. People raised slogans like “Down with terrorism” and “Down with Pakistan” to express their feelings.

In Muktsar town, all markets were shut for two hours, from 9 am to 11 am. This bandh was called by the Beopar Mandal (traders’ group) to show solidarity with the victims of the attack.
