Film Stars Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack, Anupam Kher Shares Emotional Video

Many film stars have strongly spoken out against the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people were killed and several others injured. The attack took place on Tuesday at a popular tourist spot in south Kashmir.

Actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Nani, Sunny Deol, and Anupam Kher expressed their deep sadness and anger.

Kareena Kapoor wrote on Instagram, “Beyond heartbroken for the victims and their families. Praying for the lives lost. #Pahalgam.”

Vicky Kaushal called it a “heinous act” and said he couldn’t imagine the pain of the families. “My deepest condolences and prayers,” he added.

Telugu actor Nani, who had recently shot a movie in Pahalgam, shared his shock: “Pahalgam was like a dream… the place, the people, the warmth… Why?” he wrote in a post.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher shared an emotional video message, expressing grief and anger. He paid tribute to the victims and called the attack heartbreaking. In the video, he urged the government to take strict action and said the entire country must stand united against terrorism.

Other stars like Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Sanjay Dutt, Kamal Haasan, and producer Ritesh Sidhwani also condemned the attack earlier.

Meanwhile, Kashmir valley observed a rare shutdown on Wednesday to protest the killings. This is the first time in 35 years that people in the valley have observed a bandh (strike) against a terror attack, with people from all communities showing support.

The film industry, like the rest of the country, is calling for justice and stronger steps against terrorism.
