Bittu Alleges Assassination Plot by ‘Waris Punjab De’, Demands Action from Punjab Govt

Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing, Ravneet Singh Bittu, has accused members of the “Waris Punjab De” group of plotting to assassinate him and other political leaders in Punjab. He has demanded their immediate arrest by the Punjab Government following the leak of alleged group chat screenshots on social media.

Bittu claimed that these chats, which are now public, reveal a conspiracy against him and link key figures in the group to the plot. He said that the Central government is taking the matter very seriously and is closely monitoring developments.

The Minister also pointed to the recent transfer of several aides of Amritpal Singh—previously jailed in Dibrugarh, Assam—back to Punjab. According to Bittu, this move raises further concerns about Amritpal’s role as the main conspirator behind the plot.

He sharply criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)-led Punjab government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing them of being soft on individuals who, in his words, “masquerade as political activists” while working against national interests.

Bittu warned that such groups are trying to push Punjab back into a time of instability and violence. “The Centre will not allow anti-national forces to destabilise Punjab,” he stated firmly, urging the state government to take swift and strict action to prevent any further threats to law and order.
