Man in Hyderabad Served Notice for Allegedly Killing Puppies

A 32-year-old man, identified as Ashish, has been served a notice by the police for allegedly killing three six-day-old puppies in a gated community in Hyderabad. Ashish, a hardware store owner, is accused of crushing the puppies, smashing them against a wall, and throwing bricks at them.

The incident took place on April 14 at Indis VB City near the Railway Employees Colony in Bolarum. Ashish was issued a notice under Section 35(3) of the Bharariya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to appear for an investigation.

The police registered an FIR on April 16, after residents of the apartment complex lodged a complaint. The act was caught on surveillance cameras. One of the residents found the puppies lying in a pool of blood and alerted the security. The CCTV footage showed Ashish committing the act.

Upon being confronted by the residents, Ashish confessed to killing the puppies, claiming he did it out of fear that the puppies might attack him. He allegedly held a grudge against a stray dog that had previously attacked his pet, a golden retriever.

The police have registered a case, and an investigation is underway.
