War of Words Escalates Between AAP and Congress Leader Partap Bajwa

The fight between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa is getting more heated, with both sides making serious accusations.

A day after Bajwa criticized AAP state president Aman Arora, Arora hit back with strong allegations. Without naming Bajwa directly, Arora questioned if Bajwa remembered a man named Manjit Singh, also known as “Doctor”, who was questioned by intelligence agencies in Delhi in the 1990s. Arora claimed that the questioning had revealed a plan to kill senior Congress leaders and police officers.

This reaction came after Bajwa warned Arora to be careful with his words and referred to a past incident involving Arora’s family. Earlier, Arora had referred to a letter written by former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to the Congress high command, which accused Bajwa’s family of having links with smugglers and terrorists. Although Amarinder Singh later took back those claims, Arora brought them up again.

Arora also mentioned an old case from the 1990s, when a car full of explosives was found in Sector 23, Chandigarh. He asked who had gone to Chief Minister Beant Singh and Buta Singh to get out of the case, and whose photos the police had taken at the time.

Responding to Bajwa’s claim that Arora had made personal attacks, Arora said Bajwa himself had run a “below the belt” campaign during the Gujarat elections in 2003. He also challenged Bajwa to explain where he got information about the “50 bombs in Punjab,” or admit that it was just said to scare people.

The exchange of accusations shows no sign of slowing down, with both sides continuing to target each other.
