A court in Mohali, Punjab, has sentenced Pastor Bajinder Singh to life in prison for a rape case from 2018. The court found him guilty of rape, causing harm, and criminal intimidation on March 28, 2025. The victim had filed a complaint accusing Bajinder Singh of raping her by promising to help her go abroad.
In the same case, five other people were found not guilty. There is also another case against Bajinder Singh for sexual harassment involving one of his followers from Kapurthala, which is still in court.
Bajinder Singh, known for his viral “Yeshu Yeshu” sermon videos, had gained a lot of followers. The court took special security measures during the announcement of the verdict.
