Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Sunday criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s governance, questioning whether Mann or Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in charge of the state. His comments came in the context of Amritpal Singh’s arrest and his transfer to Dibrugarh jail, which Warring claimed was done at the Centre’s request.
Warring reacted to Shah’s statement in Parliament, where the Union Home Minister suggested that the Centre was responsible for sending Amritpal Singh and his associates to Dibrugarh. Warring pointed out that the Congress has long believed that AAP is the “B-team of BJP.” He emphasized that while many thought the Punjab Police had made the decision, Shah’s statement revealed it was done under the Centre’s influence.
Warring further challenged CM Bhagwant Mann to clarify whether he was truly in control or merely following the Centre’s orders. He called on Mann to contradict Shah’s statement if he disagreed, questioning whether the people of Punjab needed any more evidence of the CM’s allegiance to the Union Home Minister.
