A private bus carrying devotees from Nurmahal in Punjab to Darlaghat in Himachal Pradesh met with an accident near Namhol in the early hours of Friday, leaving 32 passengers injured.
The injured were rushed to AIIMS Bilaspur for treatment, while the bus driver is undergoing care at the Civil Hospital in Markand.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited AIIMS Bilaspur to check on the condition of the injured. He interacted with the victims, wished them a speedy recovery, and assured them of all possible support from the state government.
He also directed the hospital administration to ensure that the injured receive immediate and the best possible medical care without any delay.
CM Sukhu was accompanied by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar, Superintendent of Police Sandeep Dhawal, and other senior officials during his visit.
